A Letter from Our Principal
Thank You!
Friends of St. Mary’s School,
The Gathering is the largest fundraiser for our school and each year a portion of the proceeds from this event are allocated to help cover specific upgrades in curriculum, technology, and teaching materials. The past two years we have identified the school kitchen as our biggest need for an upgrade. Changes to our kitchen are desperately needed to handle the increased enrollment and 500+ meals being served daily (breakfast and lunch).
I am excited to announce that thanks to the generous support of this event over the years, the kitchen remodel project that includes a walk-in cooler and walk-in refrigerator has been approved and construction will begin in mid-June. These upgrades will greatly serve the growth in our school and parish for many years to come.
This year’s Gathering is going to look and feel quite different from previous years. Thanks to a new idea from this year’s event committee and the hospitality and services of A’BriTin Catering, we get to experience the casual fun of a Minnesota Luau!
Thank you to our Gathering committee for their creativity and efforts with this event. I also want to thank all the Alexandria area businesses and members of our surrounding communities for their monetary gifts and contributions of the many fine items and services for our silent and live auctions. Without the support of our community partners, an event like this would not be possible.
St. Mary’s School has a strong tradition of Catholic education that is shaping quality young adults and future leaders in our Church, community, and world. Your generosity is essential to the continuation of our mission.
Thank you for your generosity and continued support of St. Mary’s School. We are truly blessed to have you a part of our school family. Enjoy celebrating St. Mary’s School in Hawaiian style.
Mahalo,
Mr. Sladek
